The origins of the firm dates back to the late 1970s.
In 1984, Dr. Kay Jacobsen and Dr. Per-Ulrich Diehl joined forces to form a general law office for civil and commercial law. In 1997, Manfred Confurius and Andreas Breezmann founded the labour law office Confurius & Breezmann, and both offices merged to form Jacobsen & Confurius in 1998.
Personal exchange and waiving unnecessary formalities characterise our daily work. With ten barristers we are small enough to take this for granted – and large enough to competently handle comprehensive mandates with multidisciplinary and international relationships.
The firm specialises in three areas of law. The team has many years of experience and specialist knowledge in advising both individuals and businesses in labour law. The firm also has a strong reputation in advising companies on franchise and transport law, and also advises companies on mergers and acquisitions.
