Canada

Canada is one of the world's wealthiest nations. With a high per-capita income, it is one of the world's top 10 trading nations. Its economy is dominated by the service industry, which employs about three quarters of Canadians.  However, Canada is unusual among developed countries in the importance of the primary sector, with the logging and oil industries being two of the most significant.  Canada has vast offshore deposits of natural gas and large oil and gas resources centred in Alberta. Canada is one of the world's most important suppliers of agricultural products and a world leader in zinc, uranium and many other natural resources such as gold, nickel, aluminium, and lead. 

 

Holmes & Company is based in Vancouver, British Columbia on the Pacific West Coast of Canada.  Vancouver is known for its environmental appeal.  The city is surrounded by water on three sides and the Coast Mountain Range.  Vancouver is Canada’s third largest city and has the most temperate climate in the country. The city has been selected to co-host 2010 Winter Olympics with Whistler. 

 

The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest and most diversified.  It is also the headquarters for many forest product and mining companies.  In recent years, Vancouver has become an increasingly important centre for software development, biotechnology and a vibrant film industry, earning it the nickname Hollywood North.
